Toyota Motor Sales reports from last December show best volume month in 2011! They show 178,431 Vehicles sold and predict a strong year for 2012 with all of the new Toyota, Lexus, and Scion products.
In the Toyota division
Camry had more than 33,000 sales – an increase of more than 7% over last December
Prius with over 17,000 Sales – an increase of almost 9%
The Tacoma has sales up 11%
Lexus ended December with more than 25,000 vehicles sold!
As the inventory continued to recover from the tsunami in Japan and flooding in Thailand, TMS finished the year with 1.64 Million Sales. That’s puts it down 6.7% from 2010. Despite the challenges of 2011, the company launched an all new Camry. The Camry proves to be the best-selling car in America yet again and seems to be attracting younger buyers to the brand. The Camry has also been the most researched vehicle in kellybluebook.com and edmunds.com. The Camry Hybrid was also named the best family sedan by consumer reports.
TMS is predicting even better sales in 2012 and are ready to meet the increased consumer demand. They’ll be having new products coming out this year. A full 40% of the vehicles predicting to be sold this year will be all-new or significantly updated models. That’s a big difference compared to the 9% in 2011.
TMS will be releasing some exciting new models this year and we’ll be sure to give you a close look at those when they’re revealed! So keep an eye out for our future blogs!
